The Knight of the Cnihtengild
Cutler's Gardens, Devonshire Square

He is a representation of one of the thirteen knights (the Cnihtengild) who were granted the land lying to the east of the line Aldgate – Bishopsgate in the 10th century by King Edgar.
Bishopsgate, City of London
The figures, five children descending a ship’s gangplank, have been cast in bronze and will be a lasting memorial to the unaccompanied, mainly Jewish children who arrived here from late 1938 to the outbreak of war. It also acts as a reminder of those who could not escape the murderous intentions of the Nazis.
